Institute for tourism

The Institute for Tourism is the only scientific public institute in Croatia specializing in research and consultancy services in tourism. Its expertise is based on scientific work, permanent research activities and the continuous education of its multidisciplinary team. The institute’s activities are governed by an integrated approach to tourism development and management, which takes into account the development aspects of a company or a tourist destination, as well as the national tourism policies. The Institute for Tourism works together with tourism industry players with whom it shares a common goal – to achieve a higher level of competitiveness for Croatian tourism.

Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia

The Ministry of Tourism is the central state administration body in the Republic of Croatia which carries out administrative and other tasks related to: tourism policy of the Republic of Croatia, strategy for development of Croatian tourism; development and investment in tourism; the operation of economic system instruments and measures of economic policy on the development of the supply and provision of tourist and hospitality services and business operations of tourist and hospitality business entities.

Croatian Environment and Nature Agency

The Croatian Environment and Nature Agency (HAOP) is an independent public institution founded by the Government of the Republic of Croatia in June 2015 and started its activity on September 17, 2015. The HAOP was created by the association of the Environmental Protection Agency (AZO) and the State Institute for Nature Protection (DZZP) and has taken over their tasks of gathering and unifying data and information about the environment and nature for the purpose of ensuring and monitoring the implementation of environmental and nature protection policies, sustainable development and other professional activities related to environmental protection and nature protection.

The Croatian National tourist board

THE CROATIAN NATIONAL TOURIST BOARD (CNTB) is a national tourist organization founded with a view to promoting and creating the identity, and to enhance the reputation of, Croatian tourism. The mission also includes the planning and implementation of a common strategy and the conception of its promotion, proposal and the performance of promotional activities of mutual interest for all subjects in tourism in the country and abroad, as well as raising the overall quality of the whole range of tourist services on offer in the Republic of Croatia.
